Fashion for Revenge

Okay guys... at one point some time ago, I have mentioned that I am a Truebies! Well guess what? I am also a "Revenge" freak! It is a TV series that has a story line goes like this: Emily Thorne comes to the Hamptons, renting a home next to the Grayson family to enjoy the summer. However, it is revealed that Emily has been to the Hamptons before, as a little girl. In reality, Emily is Amanda Clarke, whose father was framed for a crime he did not commit and sent to prison for life, and later murdered in the prison. She was permanently separated from him when she was a little girl and never saw him again. Now, she has returned to the Hamptons, intent on getting revenge on those who wronged her and her father. At the top of her list is Victoria Grayson, matriarch of the Grayson family and the woman whom her father loved and who, in the end, betrayed him. Emily wants to get revenge on all the people who had a part in destroying her childhood and worked with the Grayson family to wrongfully convict her father.

Yup! we are now in season two and the story is expanding and getting more exciting as ever. The most interesting part from the series beside the story line is of course the FASHION!

Costume designer Jill Ohanneson has include all brand and names, from quirky lobster jackets to reworked BCBG gowns, ripped-off-the-runway laser-cut Burberry leather coats and Gucci dresses. And everything, yes everything, is altered to fit the actors like a calf skin Prada glove.

"The Rich Are Different. Their Clothes Fit Better" Ohanneson explains, "If your clothes fit you well, you feel more important and you carry yourself very differently." She had a crack team of cutter/fitters toil tirelessly to make sure the tailored suits make the men look rich and powerful and the women look formidably fashionable in clothes that flatter their well-toned figures.  "All the main actors have a section, including shoes, accessories and up above, we have our background stock. So when we do our locations, we have the means to dress everyone. There's even a washer and dryer in case of emergencies."

Ohanneson has ten people working on her Revenge costume team keeping track of the show's library of shoes, purses, jewelry, as well as men's and women's costumes. "There are three people on the set. One person takes care of the trailer. I have two shoppers, incredible cutter/fitters and a supervisor who takes care of the budget and makes sure we have enough people working at all time."

Shoe Fetish..... (now this is me! haha...) "Shoes are extremely important on this show," says Ohanneson. "But we have to make sure our ladies aren’t too tall. When they stand up in 4 and 5 inch heels, there is not a single male actor tall enough to stand next to them." The dirty little "Revenge" shoe secret? "We always lower the heels for close-up scenes of the men with women, when you can't see the shoes." From Prada satin heel to all high end brand you can never imagine on a series! :|

Thank you for reading this post guys! I have gathered it from THR and Celeb style guide,I hope you enjoy it!
