Place de la Concorde, Paris
Place de la Concorde is one of the major public squares
in Paris, France. Measuring 8.64 hectares, it is the largest square in the
French capital and located in the city's eighth arrondissement.
The place was designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel in 1755 as
a moat-skirted octagon between the Champs-Elysées to the west and the Tuileries
Garden to the east. Decorated with statues and fountains, the area was named
the Place Louis XV to honor the king at that time. The square showcased an
equestrian statue of the king, which had been commissioned in 1748 by the city
of Paris, sculpted mostly by Edmé Bouchardon, and completed by Jean-Baptiste
Pigalle after the death of Bouchardon.

Montmartre, Paris
Montmartre is a large hill in Paris's 18th
arrondissement. It is primarily known for its artistic history, the white-domed
Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur on its summit, and as a nightclub district.
We reached the place by metro, Pigalle line!
By the 19th century, the butte was famous for its cafés,
guinguettes with public dancing, and cabarets. Le Chat Noir at 84 boulevard de
Rochechouart was founded in 1881 by Rodolphe Salis, and became a popular haunt
for writers and poets. The Moulin Rouge at 94 boulevard de Clichy was founded
in 1889 by Joseph Oller and Charles Zidler; it became the birthplace of the
French cancan.
Near the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the twentieth, during the Belle Époque, many artists had studios or worked in or around Montmartre, including Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Suzanne Valadon, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso, Camille Pissarro, and Vincent van Gogh.

Versailles [unpublished]
The Palace of Versailles is a royal chateau in Versailles in the Ile de France, region of France. In French, it is known as the Château de Versailles. When the château was built, Versailles was a country village situated 20 kilometres southwest of the French capital. The court of Versailles was the center of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris. Until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution. Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the old regime.

How we remember Paris...
Last night me and hubby was just in a conversation about our Europe trip couple of years back, and Paris came up. We were thinking of coming back this year, along with the Floriade 2012 in Holland that happens only every 10 years (at least that was my aunt said), but than again -checking both of our schedule, making it impossible for us to realize it this year..... :(
As I never post these photos, I just want to share it, for this is how we remember Paris,
Sorry for just one day photos as there are tons of other photos that I need to choose (yup, for real) ..phew...

Soorts-Hossegor is a commune in the Landes dept. in Aquitane in south-western France, 20 km north of Biaritz. It is well known as a seaside resort and surfing center, considered as one of the best surfing locales in the world.(like our Kuta Bali.....). The city's economy is centered around surfing. Until 1310, the mouth of theAdour was in the district of Capbreton-Hossegor. When the Vikings attacked the area in 840, they settled immediately in the deserted swamps around the mouth. At that time, the chief of the invaders was Asgeir. Hossegor remained a whale hunting area until the 14th century. Hossegor is a part of the little town of Soorts. Hossegor has long been one of the premier surfing locations in Europe, with a series of world-class beach breaks such as Gravière and La Nord, and with nearby beach breaks in Capbreton and Seignosse such as La Piste and Bourdaines. It supports a thriving nightlife through the summer, centered at La Plage Centrale. It holds the Quiksilver Pro France contest every year in September.

Les Macarons de Ladurée a Paris
We have planned to take with us Laduree Macarons as we left Paris, so off we go and went to the nearest (I'd say nearest because afterward we will pick up my cousin that work in Christofle at Rue Royale). And so here we are, at the Laduree Rue Royale Paris
Remember this scene from the movie Sex and the city where Carrie Bradshaw had her high tea?
I swore to you, the pastry and bakery are the best at Laduree, too bad we cannot take any pictures of it and the interior.
