Random act of kindness

The second week of February is actually a Random Act of Kindness week. I know, this post is a little bit too late, but its better now than never!

A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by kind people to either help or cheer up a random stranger, for no reason other than to make people happier. Either spontaneous or planned in advance, random act of kindness are encouraged by various online and offline communities.

An example of a random act of kindness is, when paying the toll at a toll booth on a highway, you can also pay the toll for the car behind you.

Or when you pull off the parking lot and pay for your parking tickets, you could pay for the next guy that also pull off the parking lot.

I normally done quiet a few every now and then, just because I feel like I want to and it always makes me happy. Like giving all my reward points on the grocery store to the next person in line. Of course most of the people are shocked as they are not expecting it, but the smile they gave me when I left.... priceless!

"Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you." Princess Diana
