The Force Awakens

It's finally here! Thank you for my cinema membership, I have the privilege to pre-book tickets for -Star Wars: The Force Awakens- movie! woohoo! Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the seventh installment in the main Star Wars film series (starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Max von Sydow). The story is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983).
The Force Awakens is the first film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, announced after The Walt Disney Company's acquisition of Lucas film in October 2012.

The first film in the series, Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope), was released on May 25, 1977 by 20th Century Fox and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. It was followed by the similarly successful sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy. I have grown up watching these "first" sequel, and soon become a big fan!!! Later a prequel trilogy was released between 1999 and 2005 (The Panthom Menace 1999 |  Attack of the Clone 2002 | Revenge of the Sith 2005). The release was getting mixed reaction from critics and fans, compared to the original trilogy -- I think it's brilliant!!!

All six films were nominated for or won Academy Awards, and were commercial successes, with a combined box office revenue of $4.38 billion, making Star Wars the fifth-highest-grossing film series; it holds a Guinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise."

It was Walt Disney Company that acquired Lucas film in 2012 for $4.05 billion and announced three new Star Wars films, with the first film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, planned for release on December 18, 2015 --got me a ticket big yeay!!!!

20th Century Fox retains the physical distribution rights to the first two Star Wars trilogies, owning permanent rights for the original 1977 film and holding the rights to Episodes I–III, V and VI until May 2020. The Walt Disney Studios owns digital distribution rights to all the Star Wars films, excluding A New Hope (1977 released one --original first one).

Two sequels of the 3rd prequel or do you called it 2nd prequel of the sequel?? You got it all mixed up now??? Well....  Episode VIII and Episode IX, are scheduled for 2017 and 2019!

So if you just start watching it, here goes the series in order of the story line,
  1. The Phantom Menace 1999
  2. Attack of the Clones 2002
  3. Revenge of the Sith 2005
  4. A New Hope 1977
  5. The Empire Strikes Back 1980
  6. Return of the Jedi 1983
  7. The Force Awakens 2015

I have been waiting for a decade now!
