The new city hall of Deventer!
This is a completely new look for me since the last time I visited Deventer, because in April 2016, a new city hall was opened next to the old town
hall. Following design by Architects Willem Jan Neutelings and Michiel Riedijk.
Artist Loes ten Anscher designed the framework consisting of 2,264 fingerprints
of residents of Deventer. In 2017, the design for the City Hall was awarded the
Abe Bonnema Prize.
I spent a good one hour browsing for post cards...

The Great Church / St. Lebuinus Church is the main church
building of Deventer. It is a Gothic hall church, built between 1450 and 1525.
Originally consecrated to the English missionary
Lebuinus, it was one of the most distinguished churches of the Roman Catholic
Archdiocese of Utrecht. In 1580 the temple was taken by the Calvinists, who
completely eliminated the interior decoration and renamed it the Great church. Nowadays
the temple belongs to the Protestant Church in the Netherlands, while the tower
belongs to the Municipality.
