Today we are visiting Taro Village; one of the old village in Bali which is believed to be the center of the universe (pusering jagat). Taro Village is the only village in Bali that has a White Ox conservation site. White ox is a sacred animal sacred to Hindus in Bali. The white ox is believed to be the mount of Lord Shiva and is a symbol of the existence of Shiva.
Taro Village also has Gunung Raung Temple, which is the only temple in Bali with 4 gates or entrances located in four corners of the directions; namely east, west, north and south. Taro Village's cultural heritage has an atmosphere and local wisdom of ancient Bali with the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana.
