Extra Long

As you all may know (and the one that don't know yet can continue reading this and follow the links), that I am a Hasher.  So you are still wondering what a hasher is? You can find out here. On this particular 15 KM run, the run site was just amazing, we jungle run, cross the river, walk the rice field, get into the slope of the muddy forest... was a great 15K, you all can agree after the picture jump.... enjoy!

And the t shirt given away as a reward for the extra long runner is just too cute!

Last night we (hubby and me) got a dinner invitation in a fancy restaurant, so I dressed-up a little bit for this event, plus the fact that my husband and I haven't been in a real date lately. Any chance of getting together (plus another couple of friends in this case) is a great enough reason to date-night. Its a bit rainy (as you can see it here the water on my black dress), and cloudy too. But it doesn't stop me from taking this outfit pictures. Some days the rains are pouring... guess I am a little bit lucky this afternoon!

Tanah Lot Temple [short visit]

Tanah Lot is the work of the priest Nirartha, back in 15th-century. During his travels along the south coast he saw the rock-island's beautiful setting and rested there. Some fishermen saw him, and bought him gifts. Nirartha then spent the night on the little island. Later he spoke to the fishermen and told them to build a shrine on the rock for he felt it to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods. The temple is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast. Each of the sea temples were established within eyesight of the next to form a chain along the south-western coast. At the base of the rocky land, poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders. The Tanah Lot temple is best visited before sunset, because it has magnificent view. Today my visit is during the day, its to prevent the traffic of all the tourist.
