Ponimin Arts Ceramic

Art is not for everyone some say; in my opinion everyone is not for Art. I can post this ten thousand times and will get people simply scroll and dismiss. Anyways, since I am a potter, besides visiting museums--I love to visit other potters or their studio, if they let me!

Our Indonesian artist, lecturer in Art and Design of the State University of Malang (UM), East Java Dr. Ponimin, M. Hum., is a worldwide known ceramic artist! His figurative ceramics are well known to foreign countries. Ponimin is one of Indonesia's representative artists at the Al-Janadriyah Festival in Saudi Arabia, Symposiums in India and was invited everywhere elses around the world.
And so, this is my visit to his place, unfortunately he was not there when I visited his studio.

The Meat Shop & Gourmet Surabaya

Again, this is NOT an Ad!
Located at Jalan Darmo Permai Selatan I No.93, Pradahkalikendal, Kec. Dukuhpakis, Surabaya City, it is a casual dining place for the best meat in town. Although at first you feel that you are at a  wrong place and the layout seems like a usual grocery shop; there are dining area that is pretty spacious and nice.

Some menu are not listed, such as pork, do ask what they have!

Happy New Year 2020

Looking back to 2019 is like you sit on a train with a seating arrangement that is going backwards instead of forwards; and the fact that you are leaving the station as if you leave the days of 2019 behind
...

...a place that vividly distant and seems smaller as you move towards the future...

...and if you replay, all seems to look as if they are playback of a movie scene you have watched before...

...while watching, I wished for a better year than 2019.
May 2020 be a great one for all of us!!

Happy new year ....

Hello Singapore!!

Jewel Changi is a nature-themed entertainment and retail complex on the landside of Changi Airport, Singapore. Linked to three of its passenger terminals (T1, T2 and T3) the centrepiece is the world's tallest indoor waterfall, named the Rain Vortex, which is surrounded by a terraced forest setting.

Built over the former open-air car park in front of Changi Airport Terminal 1, Jewel expanded Terminal 1's arrival hall and baggage claim areas by 70%.

Its official opening on 18 October 2019 by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Jewel's toroidal glass-and-steel façade was designed by a consortium of architects, led by Moshe Safdie.

Randomly

I tried my best to present you a continuous Randomly series, of course the series contains loads of new photos. To those whom has seen my randomly post before, would know that it is about many things that I've heard, places I went, people I've met—that touched my life. Happenings in my life that I do not post here on the blog... let's just say that it is a compilation of pictures that has not been blogged about!

I am striving to stay awake to be in the moment, soak on the smell, mentally captured what I saw and listen's to the sound—snap I went to capture these moments as they come.

Actual happiness  always looks pretty gruesome in comparison with the redemption for misery. All that positive manifestation are way more appealing... being contented has no entanglement to misfortune. Happiness will be grand on your own terms. ~ Grace Njio

Kedungu Beach (Pantai Kedungu)

Kedungu Beach is one of the off-beaten, not known, not that popular beach. Ehr... oh oh... now I am writing about it! Please don't flock here! As you can see, not so many people here. The reason I am visiting is to chill just before going to start my half day work. Also, a reason to take a product shot of WONKY POTS Ceramics' reusable travel cup from the ocean collection...
So tell me guys, would you prefer a quiet beach or the one that has music, bar and loads of tourists?
Enjoy the picture after the jump!
