Nami Island Seoul Korea (day 5)

Nami island is a tiny half-moon shaped island located in Chuncheon, in 1965 was purchased by Mr. Minn Byeong-do (ex-governor of the Bank of Korea). After a five-minute ferry ride,  you'll arrive in a forest of towering trees.

The island, as it is visited by families (and has been a site for Korean drama series) is dedicated to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of children throughout the world. It serves as the main sponsor of the Hans Christian Andersen Award and contributes regularly to UNICEF. While on the other hand has a very open hiring and retirement policy so people can work until they are 80 years old if they wish!

and we are back in the Dongdaemun plaza

DDP LED Rose Garden: located next to Yigansumun Exhibition Hall at DDP (dong daemun plaza) totaled 25.550 electronic roses are spread out over quite a distance. The reason behind the number 25,550 is to celebrate the 70th year anniversary of Gwangbok-Jeol, Korea's version of Independence Day (365 multiplied by 70 equals 25,550).  The rose has also been deemed as the most likeable flower by Koreans for 20 consecutive years.
